Cataracts caused due to increased exposure to radiation, smoking or by excessive drinking of alcohol. If your body lacks in vitamin C, you are likely to develop a cataract. The only good thing about this is that cataract is the only eye problem that gets cured surgically.
The inflammation of the white layers, i.e., the cornea causes redness in the eye, this inflammation also irritates the eyes. Conjunctivitis is also known as pink eye as the eye turns reddish pink when it is inflamed. Conjunctivitis is very common in people. The viral or bacterial infection causes it. Some allergies and also dryness can cause conjunctivitis.
The inflammation is contagious and gets transferred from one person to another, so if you are affected with conjunctivitis, it is advisable not to mingle with people or use other peoples personal items like towels, plates, etc.

Long Sightedness is a condition where the light which is focused by the lens does not fall on the retina but falls behind the retina. So the person has a blurred vision of the things which are nearer to him while he gets to see the things which are far clearer.
Short Sightedness is a state where the light which is focused by the lens does not fall on the retina but falls in front of the retina. So the person has a blurred vision of the things which are far to him while he gets to see the things which are near to him more clearly.
Macular degeneration is the degeneration of the macula which is the central portion of your retina. The degeneration of this center position which helps you to perceive images and view things. Thus making it harder for you to drive, read, or see the faces of people. To prevent macular degeneration, you can change your diet pattern and exercise more. Also, try to prevent your eyes from ultra violet radiation. There is not much treatment available for the cure of macular degeneration, but there is much research which is being conducted to find the perfect cure.
